HOMEWORK EXPECTATIONS:
You, the parent, are a vital participant in your child's life and education! Thank you for spending this 20-30 minutes with your child. I only give homework to your 2nd grader four nights a week...Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays. The homework I assign is work that is a valuable use of your child's time. The expectations are as follows:

READING Your child has a reading book bag that should be going home every M, T, W, TH. Every night your child should be reading the book(s) and 1-2 times during that 4 day span your child will need to fill out a reading log journal. Please sign the parent log sheet that is also in your child's book bag. Your child also has a punch card that I punch each time there is a parent signature on the parent log sheet. When the punch card is completed, your child will receive a reward. READING is very important at this developing age,please spend the time listening to your child read.
