I hope that all of you are as excited about the school year as I am.  I love each school year and the new opportunities that each new group of students presents.  I know that all of us have a lot to look forward to each day learning and laughing together!

As a little girl growing up in Eagle River, WI, I dreamed of becoming a teacher.  It was this dream that led me to the Chicagoland area to attend Concordia University Chicago.  I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education in 2006.  Upon graduation, I was hired by Kaneland Community Unit School District 302 as a fifth grade teacher.   I taught in the district for five years earning my Master’s degree as a Reading Specialist from Northern Illinois University along the way.  I married my college sweetheart in June 2009.   My husband's job as a pastor brought us to Manitowoc in the summer of 2011.  Upon our move up here, I taught three years at Chilton Middle School as a 7th grade Literacy teacher, Forensics coach, and 8th Grade Peer Helpers leader.  I am now in my 3rd year teaching at Jefferson and very excited to continue in fifth grade and this wonderful learning community!
