Thank youThank you to the voters in the MPSD for approving an operational referendum to exceed state revenue limits by $3.5 million annually for a period of three years to support District operations.

"We are deeply grateful for the community's support of education, our district and our students," MPSD Superintendent Mark Holzman said.  "We will use these referendum dollars wisely and frugally, only as needed based on revenues we receive from the state and other resources."

"We just can't say thank you enough to our community, “Holzman said.

Under the approved referendum, MPSD school property taxes are projected to decrease for the three-year period, with the first year seeing a 2.65% increase followed by -2.01% and -1.63% in years two and three.

Referendum funding will be used to maintain current programs and educational opportunities while offering a wide range of courses, programs and services for students; maintain and update district facilities and technology; provide all employees with competitive wages and benefits; and provide essential training and development.

The MPSD is committed to educate, engage and inspire all students to be successful in a global economy.  "We want to provide our most precious resource, our children, the educational opportunities they deserve," Holzman said.
