Welcome to the
2016-17 school year!
My name is Connie Hungerford. I am looking
forward to my 21st year of teaching at Jefferson School! My heart called
me to Special Education when I started college, and I began my
career as a special education teacher 29 years ago in Milwaukee and then
Plymouth, WI. My work at Jefferson these past 21 years was in 3rd and 4th grade
classrooms. While I loved these years in a grade level classroom, I am
very excited for the opportunity to return to being a special education teacher
this school year at our school. I love the Jefferson School
community. I love the dedicated and hardworking teachers and staff
here. And I love the Jefferson School children and families! I
am looking forward to serving our Jefferson Community in this new
I grew up in Two
Rivers, and after a few years of living in Milwaukee, I moved back to the
Lakeshore to raise my three children. I have a Master's Degree in
Education and consider myself a lifelong learner who is always on the lookout
for new classes and opportunities to grow and learn in this profession.
It's my goal to instill that love of learning in my students!
